Scope of work: Space creating curtains with sound-absorbing effect and entrance curtain

Through a specially developed curtain system, the administration building‘s conference room can be divided into almost any configuration to accommodate a wide variety of occasions: lectures, small meetings, larger conferences. The space dividing curtains are temporarily usable and individually changeable. The result is an interplay between opening and closing and between communication and withdrawal.
The curtain packages consist of a double-hanging heavy, sound-insulating textile quality in various shades of blue and gray, which improve room acoustics and reduce noise.
The digitally printed pattern of the entrance curtain with its different shades of blue is an abstraction of the logo of the Landesverband Bayerischer Bauinnungen.

Scope of work: Heat protection, glare protection and privacy

The fourteen classrooms of the school are oriented towards the inner courtyard. Exterior, weatherproof curtains in front of each classroom serve as heat and glare protection. In addition, they fulfill the changing needs of openness and unity. Closed curtains create pleasant shady spaces.

Scope of work: sun protection and blackout curtains with accoustic effect

So that the student reading room can be used for different occasions, two different curtains have been developed: a blackout and a sunshade curtain, which are electrically movable on two parallel rail systems.
For use as a reading room, the sunshade curtain is pulled in front of the large glass front, providing protection against glare and room heating. At the same time, the blackout curtain is positioned in front of the side walls to improve room acoustics.
For use as a function room with or without film projections, the blackout curtain is drawn in front of the glass front and darkens the room. The sunshade curtain can be parked behind the blackout curtain to keep the side walls clear for projections or to be pulled in front of the side walls to face them.

Scope of work: Space defining curtains

A long curtain winds its way through the physiotherapy room and forms the variable entrance of ten treatment rooms and a storage space.
The design language and the color choice of the digital print design is based on the graphic concept of Otl Aicher for the 1972 Olympics in Munich.
